The Blind Side 守護有心人

The Blind Side, 你看不到的那一面。我喜歡這電影的英文原名。有些戲名只求順口、或用時下流行街語吸引注意,但有些卻只用數個或一個文字就全然概括電影內容,看畢戲後,你會對戲名發出會心微笑。The Blind Side就是後者。 故事講述一中產美國家庭,收養了一無家可歸、身型高大肥胖的黑人青年Michael Oher。 上半場滿佈催淚氛圍,母吸毒、不知道父親是誰、被迫與兄弟分離、貧窮、沒機會受教育、人窮志短、被遺棄、黑人的成長環境,人人腰間有一把槍,或幾包丸仔。Michael 的被動自卑、默默承受,更令人心裡不舒服。 Michael有機會到正式高中學校上課,卻因書寫底子不好,測試總交白卷,又沉默寡言,被老師們誤會他根本跟不上進度,不適合繼續在校讀書。但有心老師就發現他只是不懂得寫,並不是沒留心聽課學習,改為口測,分數即時改善。The Blind Side. 滿十六歲,Michael想考車牌。為什麼?不是想要一部車,而是因為他背景令他沒法持有身份證,車牌會是他的一個身份。美國大國制度下竟會發生這種事?The Blind Side. Michael入學時被測試的各方面成績慘不忍睹,智商也只有6%,但保護意識卻有98%。你會問,天啊!他將來有什麼用?你錯了!美式欖球中,「四分衛」 (Quarterback) 帶領球隊得分,所以亦是最高薪球員,而第二高薪的,是「左截鋒」 (Left Tackle),負責保護「四分衛」,免受敵方從他看不到的那一面 (the blind side) 攻擊他以至受傷或進攻受阻。「左截鋒」需要的條件是身型高大魁梧、行動敏捷,正就是Michael普通情況下會被歧視的身型。Michael保護意識強烈,以使他在校欖球隊中出類拔萃,更引得全國七十多間大學招攬,踏上欖球職業生涯的第一步。很多時,強項一個已經足夠。The Blind Side. 可能你會與我一樣有個想法,就是如非戲中家庭般富有 (父親擁有十多間餐廳、母親是專業家居設計師),那可能如此收留及培育Michael?真的嗎?是真的嗎?你家裡真的沒有空出來的房間或一張沙發?澳門有免費教育,你真的沒法額外拿出三、四千元支持他的生活費?這些問題都可能是否定的,只是你會介意背景不良的黑人住在你家裡,你會介意失去私隱,你會介意親戚朋友鄰居的看法。更枉論你要視他如親子,費心神、關心他、保護他、發掘他的長處、幫助他成功。The Blind Side. 當有些人做善事都要變成事業才叫值得,其實只想為自己討個美名,攀爬社會地位,或為以後生意打通一條往國家的路,誰又有一雙明眼去看穿「無私」與「真心」? 電影為真人真事改編。 獎項:Sandra Bullock憑此片勇奪奧斯卡、金球獎、和廣播影評人獎最佳女主角。此片更獲奧斯卡提名為最佳電影。 導演:John Lee Hancock 編劇:John Lee … Continue reading
